Abstract

A mare was presented with abscess on the neck caused by improper intramuscular administration and was treated. Abscess was completely cured without formation of any scar mark with percutaneous abscess drainage (PAD) along with use of Ceftriaxone sodium and Flunixin meglumine and Vitamin B complex. Percutaneous abscess drainage (PAD) with broad spectrum antibiotic and NSAIDs may be used effectively for successful treatment of abscess in equine.
