A jenny in her first parity was presented with dystocia at full term. The animal was straining since previous day morning, water bag has ruptured with resultant dystocia and attempts to treat were futile. Detailed obstetrical examination revealed complete cervical dilatation with dry birth passage. The fetus was in anterior longitudinal presentation, dorso-sacral position with forelimbs extended into the birth canal with right lateral deviation of head and neck. A dead male foal was delivered per vaginally after obstetrical procedures, Jenny had an uneventful recovery.
