Six camels were presented with weakness, restlessness, itching, biting and body rubbing against objects. Physical examination revealed alopecia, intense pruritis, anorexia and emaciation with lesions scattered throughout the body surface. Skin scrapings confirmed Sarcoptes scabies var. cameli infestation. The camels were treated with Ivermectin and Chlorpheneramine maleate once weekly for one month in combination with Zinc oxide powder topically. Marked improvement in condition as well as clinical signs were recorded.
