The communication records Degnala disease in buffaloes in paddy grown areas. The affected buffaloes exhibited skin lesions characterized by scaling, cracking and ulceration of skin of ears, tail and all legs at the level of fetlock, pastern up to knee and hock joints. Most animals showed tail gangrene, swelling of legs, inflamed skin with denuded hairs, sloughing of hooves, lameness, anorexia and reduced milk production. All animal were treated with Pentasulphate for 12–15 days along with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, antihistaminic, mineral mixture, mycotoxin binder and supportive therapy. All animals showed remarkable improvement with complete recovery.
