A pregnant buffalo in her third parity with thirteen month old fetus was presented with distended abdomen touching almost to the ground. Physical examination revealed normal physiological parameters with no signs of straining. Per rectal examination revealed 270° uterine torsion. The torsion couldn't be relieved because of severely distended abdomen, thus an emergency Caesarean section was performed under local infiltration. Almost about 40 liters hydroallantoic fluid was drained. The dead fetus was delivered and uterine incision was closed in a routine manner. Post-operatively, systemic antibiotic and analgesics were advocated. Follow up revealed healthy status of animal.
