Abstract

A buffalo heifer was presented with inappetence and swelling on ventral abdomen. On palpation, swelling was soft in consistency, reducible in nature and hernial ring was palpable. Animal was prepared for aseptic surgery as per the routine procedure, controlled in left lateral recumbancy and an elliptical incision of sufficient length was made on the swelling. The hernial contents were freed of adhesions and returned into the abdominal cavity. Uneventfull recovery was seen after fourteen days of surgery.
