Abstract

Two cases of compound fracture of right metacarpal bone of calf and left metatarsal bone of heifer were presented. Both fractures were stabilised by epoxy pin fixation method under slight sedation and nerve block. External device was removed after 9 weeks and 12 weeks respectively. Bandaging with bamboo splint application was continued for few more days after pin removal. Full functional weight bearing after device removal was observed in both animals.
