Abstract

The report describes diagnosis of lymphoma of nasal cavity in Holstein crossbred cow. The animal was presented with primary complaint of nasal stertor along with open mouth breathing and unilateral epistaxis. On physical examination, only left nostril passage was patent. There was swelling of sub-mandibular region along with head deformation in right periocular region, mild right eye exophthalmus and mild ocular discharge. Lateral radiograph of nasal cavity showed increased radiopacity of maxillary bone with reduced air density. Nasal swab smears and FNAC of prescapular lymph nodes demonstrated increased cellularity with markedly high number of lymphoid cells with pleomorphic nuclei. Thus, diagnosed as nasopharyngeal lymphoma was confirmed.
