Abstract

The case report shows patient is suffering from mechanical obstruction of gastro-intestinal tract due to intussusception. Diagnosis was based of history, clinical presentation, abdominal palpation, radiography and ultrasonography, leucocytic anemia, neutrophillia, lymphocytopenia, hypoprotenemia, hypoalbuminemia, hyperglobulinemia, hypoglycemia and elevated level of Alkaline phosphatase were the important hematobiochemical alterations. The pup recovered well. It was concluded that early presentation, diagnosis and surgical intervention improve the outcome of canine gastrointestinal affections.
