A working mule was presented with history of excessive lacrimation and focal corneal opacity in left eye. Clinical examination revealed focal corneal opacity and superficial corneal ulcer. Surgical debridement along with grid keratotomy was performed by frontal and palpebral nerve blocks. Post-operatively, Eye drops Flubiprofen sodium, Gatifloxacin and autologous serum were administered. Ulcer healing with scarring was noticed after ten days, after which eye drops Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone were administered for another seven days which lead to reduction in scarring. The mule had marked recovery in its vision.
