Surgical management of recurrent rectal prolapse in queen cat

A kitten with recurrent rectal prolapse was presented with complaint of protruded tubular pink mass through the anus along with soiled mass. After proper cleaning and disinfection, surgical maneuver under anesthesia was performed. Reduction and retention of prolapsed mass followed by purse-string suture technique were applied and animal recovered uneventfully in seven days.
