A male Scarlet macaw (Ara macao) was presented with history of blood oozing from cloacal mass protruding through the vent. It was tentatively diagnosed as cloacal prolapse and managed by antiseptic wash and ice pack application followed by cloacoplasty using purse string suture technique. Oral antibiotics, analgesics and calcium supplement were advised which led to uneventful recovery after seven days.
