Twenty nine female calves with discrete, scaling patches of hair loss and grey-white crust that later become thickly suppurated were observed in dairy farms. Skin scrapings of affected area were collected and examined microscopically for presence of macroconidia and mycotic hyphae. Examination of colonies revealed positive mycotic structure (spherical, pyriform or irregular shape) characteristic of Trychophyton verrucosum. All calves with lesions were applied antifungal lotion and Povidone iodine topically and treated with Ivermectin injection at 200 μg/kg b. wt. subcutaneously. Within month the treated animals recovered uneventfully.
