An adult gaur was moving in human settlement area and took refuge in a tea garden. Gaur was chemically restrained using the anesthetic mixture of Xylazine and Ketamine hydrochloride. Gaur was treated with long acting antibiotic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, multivitamins and selenium parenterally. The animal was translocated and anesthesia was reversed using Yohimbine hydrochloride. Gaur was successfully released into his normal habitat.
