Superovulation in cattle results in variable and unpredictable response in ovulations rates and production of transferable embryos. Eighteen Bos indicus heifers were administered with GnRH analogue at a fixed time after prostaglandin administration in FSH superovulatory regimen. There was no significant difference between groups in superovulatory response measured as total number of ova/embryos and fertilized embryos recovered. It is likely that administration of exogenous GnRH at the onset of oestrus could produce better results than when administered at a fixed time.
