Abstract

Based on an ongoing project at the Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science, a collaborative approach to developing South Asian language interfaces as also test collections in Greenstone has been elaborated. Some of the novel features of the work that has been carried out so far are explained with illustrations. Some of the issues that need to be addressed as also strategies that could be adopted for enhancing the utility and value of digital libraries are briefly examined.
