Abstract

Reports on a study of keywords collected from 3330 journal articles on Brane Theory and 4456 journal articles on Fermi Liquid published during 1989 to 2003 and reported in the bibliographic databases INSPEC and COMPENDEX. Some parameters of a subject-domain have been defined, viz. Cluster-Rank (r) and Cluster-Potential (p). The variation pattern between r and p has been shown graphically and an empirical relationship has also been developed. This study might be useful in designing information retrieval thesaurus and subject-specific integrated information system.
