Abstract

Societies are transforming from information societies into knowledge societies. E-resources play an important role by providing a convenient medium and fast access to a vast range of information. Present paper attempts to identify the trends in using E-resources by various user groups. Distribution of user studies are studied with respect to place of publication, resource-wise, type of user, purpose-wise, subject-wise, year of publication, time lag in publication, language-wise, publication-wise etc. The study shows that academics prefer to use e-journals over other e- resources and that both print and e-resources complement each other.
