Abstract

Telemedicine is one of the important developments in recent years. Its use is rapidly growing throughout the world including in India. Telemedicine is the use of Computing and particularly telecommunication and information systems for better clinical services and distance based medical services. It is one of the important tools for patients living in isolated communities and remote regions, who can receive care from doctors or specialists from faraway places without the patient having to travel to visit them. Computing and IT is an important tool for promotion of healthy medical and health services; cloud computing is an important name for much wider Tele-heath service. This paper is about Telemedicine; its need and growth powered by computing and cloud systems.
