Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive scientometric analysis of scholarly publication productivity in agricultural sciences (2012 to 2021). Identifies the most prominent countries, highly productive authors, important journals in the field, and most favoured document types for publications. Web of Science Core Collection database was used for study. China, United States, Canada, and England are found to be the primary contributors to agricultural science publications. Among most productive authors, Wang Y, Zhang Y, and Wang J ranked as the top three. The study found research papers accounting fomin 91.99 % of agricultural science publications. The paper highlights the importance of scientometric analysis in tracking the progress of research and development, and for evaluating the results through a quantitative analysis of published articles. The findings can offer insights to researchers, institutions, and policymakers in comprehending the worldwide panorama of scholarly publication productivity in the field of agricultural sciences.
