The study examines the adoption and impact of ICT, focusing on mobile applications, within rural farming. It investigates how ICT tools, especially mobile apps, can empower rural farmers. By using surveys, interviews, and case studies, the study explores various aspects of farmer empowerment through technological adoption. The results highlight the crucial role of mobile applications in providing farmers with real-time information, such as weather updates, market prices, and best agricultural practices, enabling them to make informed decisions and optimise their farming and resource use. Additionally, the study looks into how mobile apps facilitate community building among farmers by creating platforms for knowledge sharing, peer support, collective empowerment, and skill development through e-learning. This continuous learning approach promotes the adoption of innovative agricultural techniques. The study also discusses the potential of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things in further empowering farmers.
