The paper examines trends in information resources acquisition in libraries by surveying the Demand-Driven Acquisition practices, control criteria and fear about (DDA) among academic libraries. The study found that many academic libraries have stopped subscriptions of online collections and resources. Some have devised cheaper alternatives for access toinformation resources and some others have moved from the previous speculative (just-in-case) model to the Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA) (just in time) model for acquisition ofinformation resources. The just-in-time model is a patron-centered acquisition that is flexible and responsive to users' need by allowing patrons to decide what resources libraries acquire.
