Dental public health is involved in the assessment of key dental health needs and coming up with effective solutions to improve the dental health of populations rather than individuals. All countries face similar issues in relation to dental disease. This papers is a scientometric study on the the structure and process of scholarly communication in Dentistry. Scientometrics offers a powerful set of methods and measures for studying the structure and process of scholarly communication. The findings of this study include various characteristics of dentistry literature such as average growth rate of literature, relative growth rate and contribution made by authors in the view of research productivity, authorship pattern and collaboration.
