Cultural Informatics' is that part of informatics that emphasizes understanding of thehuman world, that which is made or influenced by humanity: from history, social science, cultural studies, to written, visual, sonic, and kinetic communication, technology is transforming all aspects of human endeavor, all culture, all societies and communities. Universities worldwide are ar offering courses specializing in different areas of Informaticslike Agricultural Informatics, Environmental Informatics, Medical Informatics, Health Informatics, community Informatics etc. But in areas like Cultural Informatics, Heritage Informatics, etc programmes are rare. In universities of countries like India courses on Informatics are rare. In this context the academic programmes on Cultural Informatics from IGNCA India is important and can help conservation of Indian heritage. The article introduces the Informatics programmes offered by IGNCA.
