1Kalliani J did her post graduations in Botany and Library and Information Science from University of Kerala. She has joined service at State Planning Board, Government of Kerala. Presently she is in the State Central Library Kerala (Trivandrum Public Library) and is looking after the selection, classification and cataloguing of the knowledge resources.
S R Ranganathan has made unique contributions to all aspects of Library and Information Science (LIS). It is because of his efforts that LIS became subject of higher studies and research. Being an interdisciplinary subject and one, which contributes to quality, relevance and uptodatenes of developments in all spheres of human activity, his contributions are yet to be recognized in fall perspective.
