The Council of the European Union discussed the process for transition of member states to Open Science. The recommendations were adopted by the Council at its 3470th meeting held on 27 May 2016. It is the efforts of Sander Dekker that contributed to stress given by EUfor Open Access and Open Science in its educational and research reforms and projects.
