The purpose of the study was to compare aerobic capacity among male handball players in different playing position. To achieve the purpose of this study sixty (60) top male handball players were selected from Cuddalore district Tamilnadu, India. These players were classified into four groups as backs (15), wings (15), pivots (15) and goalkeepers (15) respectively. The aerobic capacity was selected as criterion variables and measured by Multi-stage shuttle test. The data was collected and analysed using one way Analysis of variance (ANOVA). When F ratio was found significant, Scheffe's post hoc test was applied to know the difference between the groups. The aerobic capacity showed a significant difference among male handball players in different playing position (F = 17.45, p = 0.000). It denotes that aerobic capacity found to be high in wing players and low in pivot players. It is concluded that high aerobic fitness is important for wings as they are the players who perform the most picks and require high levels of aerobic capacity to aid recovery after high-intensity bouts of activity.
