Abstract

This paper, titled ‘Looking Beyond Conventional: Alternate Approach to designing Sadar Bazar Metro Station’, deals with the site constraints and hard geology faced during the detailed design stage of Sadar Bazar Metro Station of the R K Ashram-Janakpuri Corridor of Phase IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Transit System and the innovative measures undertaken by the DMRC to ensure the feasibility of the proposed construction methodology, which represents a forward-looking and holistic approach in the construction of the station. It prioritizes efficiency, safety, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, quality, and passenger friendliness. By embracing cutting-edge technology and best practices, it positions this construction project for success in an ever-evolving industry.
