Abstract

In order to reduce the influence of geological prediction on construction process and realize efficient prediction for TBM tunnels, this paper analyzes the key points and difficulties of geological prediction in TBM tunnels combined with the construction environment. The main principle and detection scheme of HSP which are suitable for TBM tunnels have also been introduced. The HSP method can directly use seismic waves excited by TBM cutters as source signal, multichannel and long-time sequence receiving technology are adopted during data acquisition. Stratigraphic characteristic parameters can be obtained after data processing methods such as correlation interference and focusing imaging. Finally, the geological conditions in front of tunnel face can be predicted based on these parameters. The method has been applied to double shield TBM tunnels respectively, and the prediction results are in good agreement with the actual geological conditions of the surrounding rock. The application results show that the HSP method is one of the efficient geological prediction methods that suitable for TBM tunnels.
