Abstract

This paper presents constitutive modelling and geomechanical analysis of solution mined salt cavernsat Bikaner. Based on short term uniaxial and triaxial tests, the stress-strain and strength parameters have been determined. Creep parameters have been determined from long term uniaxial and triaxial tests. Parameters for Mohr-coulomb, Hoek-Brown, Power law, LUBBY 2 model have been established. The salt parameters have been used for analysis of a salt caverns using Abaqus software to determine deformations, stresses, yielding and creep of the salt cavern.
