Abstract

The histological structure of different parts of the atrioventricular region of 5 female turkeys was studied. The atrioventricular node was present in the heart of turkeys. The cells of the ventral and anterior parts of the node were darker than the dorsal one. At the point of about middle part and at the apex of the interventricular septum, the atrioventricular bundle ran into the septum. There were atrioventricular ring (purkinje ring), nodus truncobulbaris and fasciculus truncobulbaris in the heart of turkeys.
