Abstract

Ten microsatellite loci were used to analyze twenty-two captive-bred Chinese alligators to select the individuals with maximum genetic differences. According to genetic relatedness, the alleles of low frequency, together with health conditions, six alligators (Male: Female= 1:2) were suggested for wild releasing.
