Abstract

The study focuses on the variability of ground water quality in Raikode area of Medak district. Thirty two groundwater samples from open and bore-wells were collected during post-monsoon period from parts of Raikode area, Medak district, Telengana State, India in 2016. They have been analyzed for various hydrochemical parameters. Evaluation of groundwater quality for drinking purpose was carried out using WQI and it was that found 71.87% of groundwater is unfit for drinking purpose due to the presence of fluoride and nitrate.
