Cancer threatens the survival of entire species. It is also a major threat to domestic and wild animals. Cancer is among the leading cause of death among pets. There are many types of spontaneous neoplasm including horn cancer, eye cancer, lymphosarcoma, ethmoid tumor, canine transmissible venereal tumor, canine mammary tumor occurred in animals. Dogs develop neoplasms twice as frequently as humans, with incidence of skin cancer, mammary tumors and canine transmissible venereal sarcoma being the highest. Horn cancer, eye cancer and paplioma are common type of cancer in cattle. Whereas, mammary tumors are rare in cattle. Avian Leukosis-Sarcoma group of viruses, especially, the Rous sarcoma viruses (RSV) which cause connective tissue tumors in chicken population. Studies of animal neoplasms, their prevalence, progression is very much helpful in understanding the molecular mechanism of cancer progression and their therapy, not only in animal but in human also.
