Abstract

Women entrepreneurs are those who explore new paths of economic involvement and contributions. Women entrepreneurs have been making a significant impact in all segments of the economy. Women get empowered through their entrepreneurial attitude and skill either choosing as a profession as a challenges and an adventure with an urge to do something new or taken up business enterprises to get over financial difficulties and responsibilities in thrusts on them due to family circumstances. Empowering women will ultimate help us in improving the status of women entrepreneurs but there should be proper and appropriate intervention strategies (at home and at the workplace) that can prove to be a big source of assistance to empower women and motivate them to setting up a cottage industries specially agro based industries, dairy cooperatives poultry farming and food and fruit preservation and provide opportunities to market the products, understand product qualities and features.
