The effect of genetic groups, seasons, periods and Parity on lactation milk yield, lactation length, dry period and calving interval were studied. The data of 1568 calvings from Bombay Gowrakshak Mandali's Cattle Breeding farm Kandivali, Mumbai were analysed. The overall least square means for lactation milk yield, lactation length, dry period and calving interval were 2204 ± 21.94 kg, 304.83 ± 0.99 days, 94.87 ± 0.82 days and 403.15 ± 1.24 days respectively. Lactation Milk yield of 50% crosses ofHF X Gir was 2775.41 ± 32.48 kg and was significantly higher than the crosses of Jersey and Gir. Lactation length in Holstein crosses was 307.77 days which was higher than other groups. Mean dry period and calving interval in HF crosses were lowest fallowed by Jersey crosses and Gir. Season had a significant influence on production but not on lactation length and inter calving period. The lowest milk yield was recorded in first parity, thereafter there was increase in production but there was no definite pattern. Parity had significant influence on lactation length and calving interval but not on dry period.
