The present study of evaluation and preservation of dog semen by freezing at −196° C by conventional instant and programmable slow method was carried out to determine the efficiency and suitability with respect to the survival of spermatozoa after freezing. In all 24 ejaculates were studied of four mongrel dogs (six from each) and the andrological investigations were carried out. The semen was processed for freezing by conventional instant and slow programmable freezing in liquid nitrogen. The showed that the dog semen with normal seminal attributes can be preserved by freezing at −196° C by both the methods satisfactorily.
