Experiment was conducted to evaluate digestibility of various nutrients in 18 crossbred calves randomly distributed into three groups I, II and III, each having six animals and fed with conventional ration consisting of concentrate mixture and ad-libitum jowar straw (R1 - control), complete feed (mash) with 10% (R2) or 15% (R3) DPL, respectively. The digestibility of DM, CP, EE and NFE was higher in conventional ration as compared to complete feeds. Digestibility of OM and CF was higher in R2. Feed with 10% DPL recorded higher digestibilities for all the nutrients studied in comparison with feed with 15% DPL. The TDN and DCP content were higher in R1 than R2 and R3. The average daily TDN intake for all the groups was similar. DCP intake on control feed was significantly higher than complete feeds.
