Abstract

A commercially available herbal feed additive (Respowell) was tested for its in-vitro antibacterial activity against Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) by two methods; Minimum bactericidal Concentration (MBC) and disc diffusion technique (DDT). MBC of Respowell was determined at 0.5% that eliminated all four test strains of ORT. Disc with respowell concentration of 50 mcg. showed appreciable zone of inhibition against all strains.
