Effect of feeding commercial pelleted feed on hematobiochemical parameters was studied on 12 crossbred (50% H.F. X Gir) cows. For this study blood samples from experimental animals were selected for four different physiological stages of cows i.e. advanced pregnant stage, early lactation stage, mid lactation stage and late lactation stage. During late lactation hemoglobin content was decreased to 10.40 ± 0.05 and 12.17± 0.48 gm/dl in group A and B respectively. Red blood cell count was decreased in both groups during early lactation. Leukocyte content though not statistically significant, mean values for leukocyte content was higher (9.99 ± 0.24) in control group A than treatment group B (9.94 ± 0.24). There was marked decrease in serum total protein content in both groups in early lactation stage. Blood urea nitrogen content in group B (treatment) was higher than group A (control) during entire experimental period. There was marked decrease in serum calcium content of both the groups during early lactation stage 9.57 ± 0.29 and 9.94 ± 0.55 mg/dl in group A and B respectively. The serum phosphorus content in group A and B during late gestation stage was 5.71 ± 0.12 and 5.90 ± 0.03 mg/dl. respectively.
