The present study was undertaken to evaluate the blood hematological parameters of 8 male and one female Black Bucks aged 9 to 36 months, kept in captivity at Veer Jijamata Bhosale Udyan, Byculla, Mumbai. Blood samples (5 to 7 ml) were collected once by jugular venupuncture in clean sterile vials containing anticoagulant, Dipotassium EDTA. The packed cell volume, percentage of neutrophills, eosinophills, basophills, lymphocytes and monocytes remained within normal range, except total hemoglobin (Hb), erythrocyte count (RBCs), leucocytes count (WBCs), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC).
