Abstract

The socio-economic conditions of women in India, particularly in rural areas is very low. The development programmes aiming women will realiz their objectives only if they fit into the socio-psychological perspective and needs of rural women. With this objective the study was undertaken in two districts at Haryana and Delhi. The study has revealed that effective development calls for higher extension contact. Women preferred income generational activities which can be performed at home.
