Sugarcane is an important commercial crop in Burhanpur. This study was conducted in Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh, with the sample size of 120 respondents. The findings revealed that majority of sugarcane growers (70.83%) had medium level of technological gap in adoption of ISCP. Further, it revealed that 93.75 percent technological gap index (TGI) was observed in use of green manure, 90.41 percent in bio-fertilizer application, 83.75 percent in soil testing, 80.41 percent in seed treatment, 77.08 percent in disease management, 47.91 percent in fertilizer application, 47.50 percent in improved varieties, 42.08 percent in ratoon management, 39.58 percent in organic manure application, 37.08 percent in irrigation management, 35.00 percent in earthing up, 34.58 percent in seed selection, 22.91 percent in seed rate, 22.08 percent in spacing, 18.75 percent in soil preparation and 10.00 percent in soil selection.Technological gap existed between the available recommended technology and its actual adoption by the farmers. The findings of this study will serve as guidance for research and extension workers to work in a farmer's perspective line for increasing the productivity and minimizing the existing technological gap in sugarcane cultivation.
