The contribution of bamboo in the rural economy of Tripura has already being recognized as an integral part of the entrepreneurial ecology and the change in livelihood dynamics. While the brunt of climate changes becoming more impending and coercive, the role of bamboo enterprise, as botanical entity as well as an economic pursuit, shall delivery the most befitting mitigational support. The present study averting the conventional ex-post facto survey approach as resorted to participatory learning, action tools and methodologies. The tools like social map, transect walk, matrix ranking, Venn diagram and case study have depicted the local choices of occupation, bamboo types, constraints and their perception, the distributive spatiality of different resources and skills across the space, which may lead to a participatory micro-planning for making bamboo based economy. An important alternative to field crop based rural economy. In this process, 15 families were involved having both the traditional and modern knowledge and skills in bamboo based crafts, cultivation and marketing.
