Abstract

A study was conducted in Karnal district of Haryana to find out the job satisfaction of Lay Inseminators (LIs), who were involved in providing basic animal health services at the door step of dairy farmers on private basis. The primary data were collected from 30 LIs indicated that LIs were almost satisfied with their job. Regression analysis revealed that out of the eight variables considered, only five variables namely income, education, status in community, recognition for task done and job stress were significant in explaining the level of job satisfaction of LIs. The coefficient of determination indicated that all eight variables together explained 61.30 percent level of job satisfaction, which was found to be significant.
