There are evidence from several pieces of research that livestock-environment interaction in today's walk has become detrimental to each other. It is the need of the hour to collect and compile dairy farming practices which can help strike a balance between these two important components of eco-system. It is further more important to disseminate the same to our dairy farmers. For this a mobile application called “Eco-Dairy” was designed and developed. Further the effectiveness of the developed ICT based Mobile application was assessed in terms of knowledge gain whose level of significance was checked using parametric paired ‘t’ test and non-parametric Wilcoxon Singed Pair Rank Test and a comparison of the results from these two test was done which showed a complete synchronization. Overall knowledge gain using paired ‘t’ test was 6.95. The ‘Z’ value from Wilcoxon Singed Pair Rank Test for environment friendly breeding, feeding, healthcare and management practices were -8.06, -9.726, -9.220 and -10.224 respectively and thus, all the four aspects of EFDEPs showed significant knowledge gain at 1 percent level.
