E-resources are resources in which information is stored electronically and are accessible through electronic systems and networks. “E-resource” is a broad term thatincludes a variety of publishing models, including OPACs, CD-ROMs, online databases, e-journals, e-books, internet resources, print-on-demand (POD), e-mail publishing, wireless publishing, electronic link and web publishing, etc. In this era of digitalization when everything is available at a mouse click, the world of researchers and academicians is also not left untouched by this effect of digitalization. Research scholars have access to global level research papers and other literature pertaining to their matter of interest. Hence it becomes a matter of interest to measure the attitude of young research scholars towards the use of e-resources. The present study was undertaken to develop a scale to measure the attitude of postgraduate scholars towards use of e-resources. For this a list of 30 statements comprising attitude towards e-resources were presented to 50 Judges for their responses on five-point continuum scale ranging from Strongly Disagree (1) to Strongly Agree (5). Based on the responses obtained from 50 Judges, Scale Value (S) and Quartile value (Q) were calculated and the statements having Scale Value (S) greater than Quartile Value (Q) were selected, in which a total of 26 statements were selected out of them. Further the selected statements were presented to 30 judges for calculating the Split half reliability score using Rulon’s Formula (Guilford 1954), in which it was 0.7758. This value indicates that scale is reliable. The validity of the scale was also judged through jury opinion method.
