Although women contribute more labour inputs in dairying, a number of studies highlighted their limited access to relevant technology, knowledge, credit, market and extension. Adoption of scientific dairy management practices by farmers/farm women is also insignificant which constrains them to enhance milk yield and income. A study was undertaken in two villages of Karnal district in Haryana viz., Jundla and Pingli with 120 randomly selected women farmers to identify their problems in adoption of scientific dairy farming practices. Personal interview and PRA methods were used for data collection and thus obtained data were analyzed using frequency and percentage. Most of them reported problems concerning ill equipped AI center (100% in Pingli), inadequate knowledge of scientific feeding (93.3%), grazing resources (86.7%), unawareness about vaccination and deworming (72.5%), non-availability of cooperatives (100%) and lack of knowledge in value added products of milk (93.3%). They also reported low price of milk which is attributed mainly to selling of raw milk to vendors and non- availability of producer organizations. By the findings, the study shall conclude therefore, institutional players should find a place in further mobilizing the farm women towards technology and market -led extension.
