Performance of Wheat Varieties Under on Farm Trials at Farmer’s Field

Abstract

On Farm Trials of wheat have been conducted during 2014 -14 to 20116–17 in rabi season at farmer’s field in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh to see the performance of wheat varieties i.e. M.P. 4010 and RVW 4106. During the years 50 On Farm trials have been conducted with the active participation of farmers along with improved varieties to improve the productivity of wheat in the district. It has been observed during the trials that improved variety of wheat i.e. RVW 4106 recorded higher average yield (39.72 q/ha), while it has been seen 35.75 q/ha. in case of M.P.4010. Farmers practice has been given 35.83 q/ha during the periods. Highest maximum yield (47 q/ha) has been found in case of RVW 4106 during the year 206–17, while it has been observed 39 q/ha in case of M.P. 4010.Thirty eight q/ha has been observed in case of farmers practices in 2015–16. Tabulation, mean, B:C. ratio & percentage have been used to draw the results from data.
