The objective of the present study was to ascertain the attitude of field functionaries towards agricultural extension system of State Department of Agriculture. The sample consisted of 196 functionaries (30 AAOs and 166 ASs). For measurement of attitude, Thurston’s equal appearing interval technique was used to construct the attitude scale. The outcome of the study revealed that more than one third of the respondents (36.23%) had most favorable attitude towards the extension system of the agriculture department with mean attitude score 3.63 while, 25 per cent respondents had favorable attitude towards the technology transfer system. There were 28.58 per cent field functionaries who had unfavorable attitude towards the department services whereas, only 7.66 and 2.53 per cent of them had neutral and most unfavorable attitude, respectively.
